A Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm offers family and friends the opportunity to buy a farm share of vegetables before the beginning of the season. CSA members form a contractual relationship with their farmer and receive a weekly portion of fresh and seasonal produce. The farmer commits to raising the produce with sustainable and environmentally responsible practices. CSA members form a partnership with their farmer and share in both the bounty and risks of farming. This is a model that helps farmers continue to produce for their local community and for the community to be an integral part of the farm.
ELIJA Farm's CSA is a sustainable, non-profit farm committed to using environmentally responsible practices to raise high quality, organically grown produce. The ELIJA CSA is dedicated to enriching the health and wellness of our community by offering a CSA program that provides an abundance of fresh produce and dynamic learning opportunities to its diverse membership.
The 2025 ELIJA Farm CSA takes place for 18 weeks at the height of the summer farming season (June to early-October) and will include a generous assortment of 10-15 different freshly picked vegetable items per week. Shares will be prepared by our diverse population, volunteers, and farmers. Included with each membership is a large, sturdy ELIJA Farm tote bag which members can use to transfer their bounty and carry it home.
Each week, during the CSA season, we make every effort to provide at least 1 – 2 products from each of the following 7 vegetable categories, as seasonally possible:
Lettuce mix, Asian greens mix, spinach, head lettuce, arugula, etc.
Kale, broccoli, cabbage, collard greens, Swiss chard, broccoli raab, escarole, kohlrabi, bok choi etc.
Onions, garlic, garlic scapes, scallions, shallots, leeks, chives, etc.
